Description

The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology's objectives are to advance the knowledge and practice of the allergy specialty, to foster education of students and the public, and to encourage cooperation among those engaged in the field, thereby promoting research and study in allergy. In the Academy's by-laws, the organization is mandated to disseminate information to the public on asthma, allergy, and immunology through the news media and other appropriate means; for this purpose, the Academy has a Public Education Committee.
