GOVERNOR EMBARKS ON WESTERN SLOPE TOUR
Gov. Bill Ritter embarks Friday on a six-stop Western Slope swing, visiting Snowmass Village, Steamboat Springs, Grand Junction, Dove Creek, Durango and Telluride. The Governor will be addressing important policy topics such as health care, education and renewable energy as well as delivering the keynote speech at Club 20's annual fall meeting.
Friday, Sept. 7
6:30 p.m. Gov. Ritter will deliver remarks to the Hewlett Foundation regarding environmental issues. Location: Harvey Ranch, 7651 Snowmass Creek Road, Snowmass Village.
Saturday, Sept. 8
8 a.m. Gov. Ritter will deliver a breakfast speech to the Colorado Medical Society during the organization's annual conference. Location: Sheraton Steamboat Resort & Conference Center, 2200 Village Inn Court, Steamboat Springs.
Noon Gov. Ritter will deliver the keynote speech to Club 20 during the organization's annual fall meeting, focusing on education and natural resource issues. Location: Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St., Grand Junction.
3 p.m. Gov. Ritter will attend the ground-breaking ceremony of the San Juan Biodiesel plant. Location: Weber Industrial Park, 7099 Highway 491, Dove Creek.
6 p.m. Gov. Ritter will attend a gala at the Discovery Museum at the Powerhouse. Location: 1333 Camino Del Rio, Durango.
8:45 a.m. Gov. Ritter will deliver remarks to the Telluride Economic Summit on Early Childhood Investment. Location: Telluride Conference Center, 580 Mountain Village Blvd., Telluride Mountain Village.
