The DOE laboratories have many on-going R&D projects related to mining. Check out the DOE laboratory partnerships for laboratory activities in exploration and resource characterization, mining operation, and minerals processing.
The extensive ITP Mining portfolio consists of forty active projects, and thirty-six completed projects.
Portfolio Reviews
The Mining Portfolio periodically selects a small group of industry experts to review its active R&D projects. This "Mining Peer Review" is designed to generate feedback on the ITP's individual mining projects and the overall balance and performance of the portfolio.
