AFSC Internships: University of Washington Students
The UW School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences (UW SAFS) students are eligible and encouraged to apply for the AFSC internships. UW SAFS students can obtain a scholarship and course credit with an internship.
The applicant must be a matriculating SAFS undergraduate student and have a 3.2 GPA to qualify for a scholarship from the UW SAFS. Students receive a $2500 scholarship if they participate in a 10 week, full-time internship. Otherwise, the funding level will be adjusted accordingly.
Please follow the general application guidelines. Participation in a field component is required.
University of Washington, School of Aquatic & Fishery Sciences' students may participate in one of three ways:
- Undergraduate Internship (FISH 498) for any class level students
- Undergraduate Research (FISH 499) for any class level students
- Senior Project/Capstone (FISH 494 + FISH 495) for junior or senior students
All students will have a UW faculty sponsor for the experience.
