Teachers Guide to Fire Safety
Classroom Fire Safety Poster
Classroom Fire Safety Poster
The Oregon Fire Marshals Association (OFMA), in partnership with the Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM), has developed a Teachers Guide to Fire Safety for distribution to all Oregon schools. The Teachers Guide to Fire Safety lists nine common classroom circumstances teachers need to be aware of to increase fire safety in their classrooms. The letter-sized, two-sided poster lists fire safety tips for classroom and hallway displays, heating devices for classroom pets, storage of recycling and other materials, exit corridors, extension cords, electrical appliances and fire safety issues during special activities or events. The reverse side of the poster contains contact information for each deputy state fire marshal. For more information, contact Colleen Olson at 503-373-1540 ext 228.
