Timothy Galvin, reference librarian at Buffalo & Erie County Public Library (BECPL), stands at the entrance to the William A. Miles Center for African and African-American Studies, which is the largest resource center in Western New York for information on African American history.

The Miles Center is located at BECPL’s Frank E. Merriweather, Jr. Library, where Arpita Bose, MAR Outreach and Communications Coordinator, taught one in a series of four consumer health information classes to BECPL staff in September. Mr. Galvin facilitated the classes.
