View of South Falls
Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) is developing a master plan to provide a unified vision for this popular recreation area of outstanding natural beauty and significant historic value.  Through public input, a long-term vision will be developed for the park that will guide successful stewardship of the park’s resources and enhance recreational opportunities for the visitor.  Achieving this will require broad based input from a diverse group of people who have the park’s long-term interests at heart.  Implementing a consensus-based plan will result in the conservation of outstanding natural features including Old Growth forest and the waterfalls; preservation of this Conservation Civilian Corp (CCC) built park; and the provision of world-class visitor services.

Materials that are published in the master planning process are available at this web site, including the draft plan materials and periodic newsletters that inform the public about meeting schedules, comment opportunities and progress on the plan.
