A Variety of Workshops

The Oregon Historic Cemeteries Program provides a variety of workshops throughout the year all over the state. Annually, one workshop addresses the care, maintenance and minor repair of cemetery markers. Topics of other workshops change based on needs expressed by cemetery supporters and on resources available.

Getting Your Site on the Map - Ideas and Tools for Interpreting Historic Sites

9:00-4:00
Join in on a fast paced, hands-on workshop to explore ways to provide great interpretation for your visitors. We will play with websites, signs, brochures, tours, educational programming and living history. Inclusive interpretation from ethnic to topical diversity will be emphasized. We will also consider goal setting, target audiences and evaluation. The workshop is FREE of charge. This is a great opportunity for cemeteries, museums, historic districts and parks.
 
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THE WORKSHOP. SPACE IS LIMITED.
