Sounds like a great idea, doesn't it? Hope you are surviving the ESIS crisis. Thinking about you. Joanne

I just came across this book title in Literacy Update (Sept., 2000), a newsletter of the Literacy Assistance Center in NY: The Mother-Daughter Book Club: How Ten Busy Mothers and Daughters Came Together to Talk, Laugh, and Learn through their Love of Reading. By Shireen Dodson. New York: Harper Collins, 1997.
I have not read this book, but here is what the newsletter states:
"The Mother-Daughter Book Club" tells the story of how ten mothers and their adolescent daughters enriched their relationships through a monthly reading club. With step-by-step guidelines, stories, anecdotes, extensive reading lists, sample themes, and related activities, the book offers practical instructions for starting a book club-instructions that are transferable beyond mother-daughter relationships."
I have two questions for this group:
1. Has anyone read this book?
2. Has anyone facilitated book clubs for adult learners?
