Dear Marian,

Thanks so much for the tip. Do you happen to have any internet or other contact info for the VESL/Workplace Clearinghouse??

Thanks
Juliette

     Hi Juliette,

Are you aware of the VESL/Workplace Clearinghouse? There is a whole
page of low literacy medical materials in the table of contents. A lot
is geared to second language speakers, but some may be of use to your
student. Email me directly if you want more info.

Hello,

I run a volunteer literacy program for adults. A student of ours would
like to get CNA (certified Nurses Aide?) training eventually through a
program in this area but she would like to get started preparing herself
for the course before hand. Does anyone know of any adult curriculum,
preferably for low literacy skills, that may be available ? There are
various license programs which have such study guides so I'm wondering if
there might be something for the CNA exam.

Thanks for any input your may have.
