| Private Sector NotablesThe Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (G/TIP) is starting a new feature on its website to call attention to commendable initiatives undertaken by the private sector to counter human trafficking. The goal is to raise awareness about what some businesses are already doing, stimulate new ideas, and inspire other companies to examine how they can play to their core competencies in the struggle against modern-day slavery. Every other month, G/TIP will highlight a different company. The companies highlighted have come to our attention in a variety of ways, from information sent from our embassies, nongovernmental organizations, and international organizations to information gathered during staff travel to the field to research gathered on corporate social responsibility. Over time, we hope to provide information on an array of good corporate citizens from a wide range of business sectors. Private Sector Notables |
