Today, July 15, 2008, is the official date for the new river forecast point in southeast Kansas. The community of Baxter Springs, Kansas will now have forecast information during times of high water. The Springfield, Missouri National Weather Service wants to thank all of those who made it possible to establish a river forecast in Baxter Springs, Kansas.
