A National Weather Service storm survey team found that an EF-2 rated Tornado touched down in Lawrence County Wednesday evening October 17, 2007 at approximately 550 PM. An EF-2 rated tornado produces estimated winds of 111 to 135 MPH. The tornado track began just north of ...EF-1 Tornado in Greene County... A National Weather Service storm survey team found that an EF-1 rated tornado touched down in northwestern Greene County Wednesday evening October 17, 2007 at approximately 635 pm. An EF-1 rated tornado produces estimated winds of 86 to 110 mph. The tornado track began 1 mile west of Cave Springs and moved northeast before lifting 2 miles northeast of Cave Springs. The tornado path was approximately 100 yards in width and remained on the ground for about 3 miles. The tornado damaged or destroyed 2 homes and a barn. No injuries were reported.
