...Two Part Storm Continues Wild Winter Across the Ozarks...

A strong, two-part storm system brough heavy rain and flooding to the Ozarks during the first part of the storm system and heavy snow for part II.

The heavy rainfall and flooding event occurred during the early morning hours of March 3rd and was associated with a surface cold front and low pressure wave along the front.  The heavy snow event was associated with an upper level low pressure system which brought two distinctive bands of heavy snow to the area during the overnight and morning hours of March 4th. 

This storm system continued the string of strong systems which have moved through and affect the Missouri Ozarks and southeast Kansas with adverse weather during the winter of 2007-2008.  Here is a listing of some of these events...
