Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice To Be Honored at Independent Women's Forum Dinner

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will receive the third annual Woman of Valor Award from the Independent Women’s Forum (IWF) on Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. The awards dinner will be held in the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium, 1301 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. Welcoming remarks before dinner, presentation of the award, and Secretary Rice’s remarks are open for press coverage.

The Woman of Valor Award honors those who advance the principles of economic liberty, personal responsibility, and political freedom through courage and commitment.


4:15 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pre-set time for cameras
6:15 p.m. - 6:55 p.m. Check-in time for writers and still photographers
7:45 p.m. Final access time for all press
