Ambassador Khalilzad: Good morning, we just had a very productive meeting of the Security Council that's ongoing. We reached an agreement on the Western Sahara issue. The Resolution will be voted on later today. Also, we brought agreement, although some work needs to be done on the Resolution dealing with Sudan. I want to say that I am looking forward to the meeting with the Secretary-General later today and I will have an opportunity to speak to you after that. And one final point is that the trip to Kosovo, to Serbia, to Brussels, and Vienna dealing with the situation in Kosovo was a productive trip and we'll have more to say on that but thank you very much and have a good day.
Reporter: Ambassador, looking at the resolution in blue on UNMIS and the revision of the resolution that the U.S. put forward, you had a three month extension instead of the six months, you had four paragraphs referred to the hybrid force, all those have been taken out. What does this say to you about the Security Council's willingness to put pressure on the Sudanese government to accept the force and are you a little frustrated by the fact that you couldn't get these things in the final draft?
Ambassador Khalilzad: I think what we've got is very acceptable to us. I think it's a good resolution and I expect it to be voted on later today.

Reporter: And also on Western Sahara if I may?
Ambassador Khalilzad: There will be a vote later today that was agreed to.
Reporter: Have you changed in any way the balances there were in terms of references to the Moroccan plan and the Polisario plan?
Ambassador Khalilzad: Well the Resolution as you say, the purpose is to get unconditional discussions started under UN management and the parties have accepted it reluctantly but the recent Moroccan proposal is serious, is credible but we do take note of the other proposals, too.

Ambassador Khalilzad: Well, they have had proposals too so we want negotiations to start unconditionally and I'm happy that all sides have agreed to do that. Thank you.
