Removal of the New Carissa

Titan Maritime has now positioned two barges by the New Carissa wreck off the North Spit near Coos Bay.  The Karlissa A is now positioned to the north side of the wreck, and the Karlissa B is positioned to the west.

The K-A connects to the on-shore staging area via a cable system for transporting workers and equipment.

Scrap from the removal operations will be stored primarily on the K-A; a third barge will be positioned in late June, and will hold large portions of the deconstructed wreck while removal work continues.
