Northern Wisconsin Late Season Snowstorm - April 27, 2002

Six to as much as 20 inches of heavy, wet snow fell in less than 12 hours across a narrow strip of northern Wisconsin, beginning in the afternoon of April 27, 2002.  Lightning and thunder were reported in the heavy bursts of snow.  A weather spotter in Elcho (Langlade county) reported 20 inches.
