June 2008 is Wettest Month Ever in Oshkosh

The wet weather pattern that produced record rainfall across many parts of southern Wisconsin also reached into the east-central portion of the state.  Oshkosh recorded 12.03 inches of rain in June 2008, making it the wettest month ever recorded in the city.  The previous record was set in August 1924, when 11.94 inches of rain fell.

About 50 miles to the east, Manitowoc also set a record.  The city recorded 11.34 inches of rain last month, which makes June 2008 the wettest June ever, and the fourth wettest of any month.
