Saratov Youth Unite Against Family Violence

The Saratov Crisis Center, a former USAID grantee currently celebrating ten years of service, led the city’s participation in the international “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence” campaign from November 25 to December 10. With municipal sponsorship and Amnesty International assistance, the center worked to educate the local public on domestic violence. A local tram covered with messages against family violence debuted during the campaign and will travel throughout the city for three months. At tram stops, volunteer social work students from a local university distributed information on domestic violence and services offered by the center.
