Healthy Russia 2020 Launches School-Based HIV/AIDS Program
Last month, USAID’s Healthy Russia Project and Project HOPE completed a series of HIV/AIDS trainings for more than 100 teachers who are using the new curriculum “Useful Inoculation” in their classrooms. The curriculum targets tenth and eleventh grade students in Heathy Russia’s four focus regions -- Ivanovo, Irkutsk, Orenburg, Saratov -- plus the city of Dubna. The HIV/AIDS program is being implemented in 26 schools on an experimental basis.
