USDA TO PROMOTE EXPORTS AT FOOD SHOW IN SOUTH KOREA

WASHINGTON, Jan. 18, 2007— The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service invites U.S. food and beverage exporters to showcase their products in the U.S. Pavilion at Seoul Food & Hotel Korea 2007 in Seoul, April 24-27, at the Seoul Kintex Exhibition Center.

Exhibiting in the USA Pavilion at Food & Hotel Korea will provide U.S. exporters and distributors with an easy, cost-effective way to promote products, with a choice of furnished booth packages. Exhibitors also will have an opportunity to learn first-hand about regional market trends. Best product prospects include fish, seafood, beef, pork, poultry meat, nuts, fresh citrus and wines.

U.S. exports of agricultural, fish and forestry products to Korea totaled more than $3.2 billion in fiscal year 2006.
