Moving to E-government
Moving to E-government can be overwhelming. You have a lot of issues to address, such as:
  • What expertise do you need to create and run a Web site?
  • How do you keep the content on a Web site up-to-date and accurate?
  • Do you want to offer the ability to purchase services online?
  • How much will it cost?
We at the Department of Administrative Services (DAS), Enterprise Information Strategy and Policy Division´s (EISPD) E-government program can help. Please contact John Gugel for more information.

Types of Services Provided
Content Management
We offer you the means to control the content of your Web page in a fast, easy way. Our content management system is an easy three-step process for Web site design:
  1. Creators write your content.
  2. Approvers review and approve the content.
  3. Publishers send the content to your Web site.
Writing and publishing are now two different steps, making it more difficult for you to accidentally overwrite live content with unfinished content. In addition, the approver step ensures accountability for your Web content. Enforcing version control is easier than ever.

E-commerce
Our e-commerce program allows you to accept credit card payments over the Internet. Online transactions help your staff more effectively meet the growing need for public services, without increasing overhead.

We use the DAS E-government SecurePay system to manage online payments. It processes all transactions for you. The state Treasury receives the payments and pays out the monies to the appropriate fund. The next day, you can reconcile your financial data to your business transactions from the day before.

When you use DAS E-government SecurePay, you will find:
  • E-commerce transactions are faster.
  • E-commerce transactions are less prone to human error.
  • E-commerce transactions are secure.
  • E-commerce helps you share resources more easily.
