The USDA TARGET Center provides AT Assessments to USDA employees
with disabilities either in-person, over the phone, or through TARGET
Web Connect. Employees or supervisors who feel there
may be a need for assistive technology may contact the TARGET
Center to schedule an assessment.
Typical AT Assessment
The typical USDA TARGET Center AT
Assessment involves a phone or email conversation, a visit
to the Center to work with technology, and occasionally an
office visit. After an assessment, TARGET can assist a customer
with requesting the recommended solutions through the USDA/CAP
Partnership. In the event that the technology is not
covered by the USDA/CAP Partnership, employees with disabilities
can take the request to their DEPM and supervisor through
the USDA Reasonable Accommodation Process. To request an
AT assessment, please contact
the TARGET Center.
