The VA Federal Supply Schedule Service Pharmaceutical Team is charged with negotiating, awarding, administering, and maintaining contracts under two VA Federal Supply Schedule Programs for Pharmaceuticals and InVitro Diagnostics, Reagents, and Test Kits/Sets.  Information is provided herein regarding general questions, Incentive Programs, State Veterans Homes and their Sharing Agreements, and Vendor listings for each schedule.

Each year the Pharmaceutical Group is required to implement pricing changes under the requirements of Public Law 102-585, Veterans Health Care Act of 1992. Each year a
letter  
is issued to all FSS manufacturers providing information to assists contractors in updating their Pharmaceutical Pricing Agreement (Addendum A) and the Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract pricing for covered drugs. A "Request for Modification Form"  
is also provided to manufacturers for information submission to the NAC. FSS contractors may access these documents by following the hyperlinks provided above. Any questions should be directed to the NAC Pharmaceutical Team.

Incentive Programs

Using the Blanket Purchase Agreement Clause of the current VA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contracts, the VA Federal Supply Service Pharmaceutical Team has, and continues to, negotiate "incentive programs" as attachment to these VA FSS contracts.   These programs are negotiated with commitment volumes/quantities in mind and being exchanged for additional price consideration, as well as additional value-added programs and services.   Many of the programs are negotiated for specific customer groups under the VA FSS program, depending upon tracking requirements and interest within the customer group.   The following is a listing of all currently negotiated Incentive Programs under the current VA FSS contracts within the Pharmaceutical Products Division.   View Incentive Program Listing (as of August 28, 2006).

State Veterans Homes (SVH)

Under the VA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) Program, State Veterans Homes (SVH) with approved and executed sharing agreements now are considered authorized users of the VA FSS contracts and are entitled to purchase items from these contracts, just like any other authorized VA FSS user.   For more specific information regarding this program, please contact Carole O'Brien at (708) 786-4957.

For the VA Federal Supply Service Pharmaceutical Team, SVH with sharing agreements can now buy off of contracts under the following schedules:

• 65, Part I, Section B - Drugs, Pharmaceuticals, and Hematology-Related
• 65, Part VII - InVitro Diagnostics, Reagents, Test Kits, and Sets
