13th Annual golf tournament for benefit of Red Earth

The beautiful Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club is the site of the 13th Annual Allie Reynolds Memorial Red Earth Golf Tournament to benefit year-round educational programming at the Red Earth Museum and Festival. The golf tournament, scheduled October 13th, is a fitting tribute to native Oklahoman and Muscogee (Creek) Indian Allie Pierce Reynolds, one of the founding fathers of the Red Earth Festival.  READ MORE

Welcome to the Home of Red Earth

For nearly 30 years Red Earth, Inc has been recognized as the primary multi-cultural resource in Oklahoma for advancing the understanding and continuation of Native American traditional and contemporary culture and arts.

The Red Earth Museum hosts a diverse and changing schedule of traveling exhibitions and is custodian of a permanent collection of more than 1,400 items of fine art, pottery, basketry, textiles and beadwork – including the Deupree Cradleboard Collection, one of the finest individual collections of its kind in North America. The Red Earth Museum, located at Science Museum Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, has benefited more than 130,000 annually.

The juried art competition and dance competition at the annual Red Earth Native American Cultural Festival has established Oklahoma City as a Native American art and cultural center, rivaling other southwestern cities as a showcase of Indian art. The varied activities and events scheduled during the Festival provide a mix of entertaining and educational presentations including food booths, hands-on children’s activities, storytelling, and musical performances.

Red Earth, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that promotes and presents the rich traditions of American Indian arts and cultures through educational programs, the annual Red Earth Native American Cultural Festival and the Red Earth Museum.

22nd Red Earth Festival named ‘Best Cultural Tourism’ event in central Oklahoma’s Frontier Country‏

Seven exceptional cultural events were nominated for the 2008 Grand Prize for Outstanding Cultural Tourism presented recently by central Oklahoma’s Frontier Country Marketing Association.  The 2008 Red Earth Native American Cultural Festival received the prestigious award during ceremonies at the Oklahoma Heritage Museum. READ MORE
