Export Summary
 
U.S. exports of horticultural products to all countries in December totaled $860 million, an increase of 2 percent from the same month a year earlier. Eight of the 15 product categories registered value increases. Categories with the most significant increases in December were fresh citrus fruit (up $9.8 million or 22 percent) and fresh non-citrus fruit (up $7.9 million or 9 percent). The category with the most significant decrease was tree nuts (down $13.7 million or 12 percent). For FY 2000 to date (October-December), the total value of U.S. horticultural exports was $2.7 billion, roughly equal to FY 1999 during the same period.
