Domestic Well Testing for Real Estate Transactions

When property containing a well which supplies groundwater for domestic purposes is sold, the well must be tested for nitrate and total coliform bacteria and the results reported to the Health Services.

Reporting Form (pdf 31K) Submit this form for all real estate transactions that include a well for domestic use. Springs do not need to be tested under this law. (ORS 448.271)
