Partner Profile The Village of Northbrook is a service oriented community located just north of Chicago. Northbrook's decision to go 'green', which was endorsed by the Village Board, was primarily meant to be a statement reflecting its commitment to lead by example in the face of many roadblocks in becoming more environmentally conscious and responsible. The Village purchases enough wind power to run its entire water utility from Lake Michigan to the water customer's tap.
