Partner Profile University at Buffalo, State University of New York (SUNY) is purchasing more than 16 million kWh of renewable electricity, making it the largest state purchaser of wind power of any New York State Agency. In 2002, the University became the first campus in the SUNY system to buy a portion of its electrical power from a commercial supplier of wind-generated electricity through the purchase of 1.5 megawatts from an in-state wind farm. In 2007, SUNY installed a 72 kW photovoltaic system on its North Campus. |
