Partner Profile Union College, in Schenectady, NY, began in the fall of 2004 purchasing from wind power to cover a portion of its campus' power needs. "Sustainability is not merely a strategy for reducing the long-term costs of operating the campus," said President Stephen C. Ainlay. "It will also turn the campus into a teaching tool. As we enhance our programs in environmental studies, environmental science and environmental engineering, it's an opportunity for students and faculty to monitor our progress and develop new efficiency measures. I know the entire Union community is devoted to create a more efficient campus."
