Partner Profile The City University of New York (CUNY) is comprised of 19 campuses throughout the five boroughs of New York City, serving over 400,000 students. Together the campuses include more than 280 buildings on almost 23 million square feet of space. CUNY joined the EPA Green Power Partnership in 2006 by purchasing 41,400 MWh of green power, which represents ten percent of its aggregate power needs. CUNY's 10-year contract for wind power demonstrates a sustained commitment to clean, renewable electricity.
