Partner Profile Under the Leadership of Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi, Nassau County has instituted a program to purchase 15 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of wind power in 2008 ramping up to 25 million kWh by 2010. In addition, Nassau County generates approximately 30 million kWh annually with renewable digester gas produced as a by-product of the County's wastewater treatment plants.
