Partner Profile Main Event Caterers is 100 percent wind powered. Our commitment revolves around changing the way we conduct our daily operations to reduce our impact on the environment. We recycle all glass, plastic, office paper and cardboard. We have eliminated all disposables and replaced them with palm plates, balsa utensils & corn by-product cups - all are compostable and will fully biodegrade within several months. We are now working on a geothermal heat reclamation project for our kitchen/warehouse/offices. The biggest lesson we have learned is that, although daunting at first, making a change to our business behavior is relatively simple if you take it one step at a time. The benefits of this behavior modification are numerous and include increased media attention, numerous awards from Arlington County government, enhanced client perception along with higher sales, plus we get to feel good about the part we are playing in improving our world.
