Partner Profile Fetzer Vineyards, a 2001 Green Power Leadership Award winner, is a founding member of the Green Power Partnership. In May 1999, Fetzer became the first U.S. winery to purchase 100 percent green power to meet its electrical demand. Fetzer also installed a 40 kW photovoltaic (solar) array on site at one of its facilities. Although Fetzer initially used investments in energy efficiency to offset a green power price premium, under its current energy contract, buying green power is less expensive than buying traditional power from the local utility.
