Partner Profile Duquesne University's greening efforts have reached an exceptional level with the purchase of more than 12 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy credits (RECs). "Duquesne has always been committed to environmental stewardship," said George Fecik, DU executive director of Facilities Management. "Our University mission encompasses world affairs, and this is one way that we can contribute to easing global energy problems, starting here in Pittsburgh. While renewable energy sells at a premium, we believe this is the right thing to do for our campus and our community. Also, it sets an example for the next generation of leaders that we are educating."
