What Is FAS?
What Is FAS?
FAS is the principal international arm of USDA. Job #1 is to create and expand international markets for American agriculture and food producers. With our network of Agricultural Counselors and Attachés stationed in 90 countries around the world, our Washington-based staff, and our close partnership with American food and agricultural industries, we are on the cutting edge of agricultural trade. Our reach is global and our outlook is comprehensive—from economic development and trade capacity building in low-income countries to market promotion and participation at the negotiating table. Career opportunities are about as varied as the world itself.

Complete information about our work and mission area is available here.

FAS is composed of several Offices, each with their own unique focus.
