New STAR Grant Award to University of Kentucky
On Thursday, August 20, 2008, EPA announced an award of $2 million to the University Kentucky to study the implications of nanomaterials on human health. Making the award, EPA Region 4 Deputy Administrator Russell Wright said, "We're here to celebrate this collaboration between EPA and the University of Kentucky. With the largest single STAR grant awarded for nanotechnology, the University of Kentucky and its partner the University of Louisville are about to launch a study with truly global implications."
