Priorities
  • OWEB wants locally-based watershed-scale assessments within Oregon Plan reporting basins completed across the state focusing primarily on private lands.
  • OWEB is encouraging submissions for the April 21, 2008, grant cycle to propose completion of watershed-scale assessments within Oregon Plan reporting basins for areas of the state where such assessments have not yet been completed.  Examples of areas of the state where such assessments have not yet been completed include: but are not limited to, the Klamath Basin, John Day Basin, Owyhee Basin, Lakes Basin and Umatilla Basin.  OWEB will also consider estuarine assessments where they have not been completed.  Applications for estuarine assessments should use the recently developed Estuary Assessment Chapter of the OWEB Assessment Manual.
  • If you are uncertain whether an estuarine assessment or watershed-scale assessment within Oregon Plan reporting basins has been completed, please contact your local OWEB regional representative.
  • Applications will be expected to follow the OWEB Assessment Manual, and the assessments should lead to identification of actions for watershed restoration.
