Friday Global Crop Condition Brief
The following series of graphics highlight notable weather and crop developments in key production areas. Featured countries/regions this week are China, India, and the United States.
Wildfires continued to break out across the Western United States. California, Idaho, and Montana were impacted the most. Following are satellite views of California fires during August.

California - four 2001 images of Northern California: May 18, showing
flooded rice fields in the Sacramento Valley, June 2, showing rice emerging,
August 18, showing a large fire covering parts of Colusa, Lake, and Glenn
counties, and finally, August 28, a view of the "Star" fire in Placer
County.
Landsat 7 scene of Northern California -
August 13 view of the Sacramento Valley and a portion of the Sierra Nevada
mountains. A fire is clearly visible in Placer Co., near I-80.
