Impact of Foot-and-Mouth Disease on Meat Trade
Though the early April foot-and-mouth disease outbreaks in both Korea and Japan is unlikely to have as significant an impact on meat trade as did the 1997 Taiwan outbreak, U.S. meat exporters have an opportunity to gain market share in Japan's pork imports.
