Influenza is a serious disease, often confused with common colds or other illnesses that produce influenza-like symptoms. Vaccination is the single most effective way to avoid getting sick, and the vaccine can't make you sick because the flu bugs are weakened or killed.

It's important to get vaccinated if you want to avoid influenza infection, if you have an infant living with you or you provide care for infant(s), or if you have any contact with people who have chronic heart or lung problems.

Remember, adults can transmit influenza up to 72 hours before they know they are sick, and children can transmit 7 - 10 days! Protect yourself and your loved ones Get Immunized!!
