Policy Center Goals
The goal of the Policy Center is to identify and analyze the effects of public policies on the health and well-being of young people and their families. This is achieved through the objectives:
- ♦ To examine the relationship between the health status of young people and service delivery systems, and
- ♦ To examine the environmental determinants of health and development.

This brief provides an annotated list of organizations and agencies that monitor trends in state and federal policies related to the 21 Critical Health Objectives.
A Federal Monitoring System for Early Adult Health (2008)
This article reviews existing federal data collection efforts and reporting systems that may support an effective health monitoring system for young adults and makes recommendations for enhancing the current system by improving data access and quality.
Youth with Special Health Care Needs (2008)
This editorial describes the challenges for youth with special health care needs as they transition from adolescence to young adulthood.
