Climate of 2003 - August
Wyoming Drought

National Climatic Data Center, 12 September 2003

Wyoming has been afflicted by severe drought for much of the last five years. During August, Governor Freudenthal sent a letter to USDA Secretary Ann Veneman requesting a disaster designation for several additional counties. Seminoe and Pathfinder reservoirs in south central Wyoming were near record low levels.
