NEW !! -- Woodsy's
ABCs Picture Book
Woodsy's ABCs is a picture book of environmental concepts, published
as a public service by the USDA Forest Service , as part of its
Woodsy Owl Conservation Education Program. Hard copies of this book
are available from the USDA Forest Service. Bookmark this page or
add it to your favorites and check back for ideas for exploring
Woodsy's ABCs with young children ages 3-8. Woodsy Owl is a symbolic
character who began teaching children about the environment in 1970.
Woodsy's original message "Give a hoot, don't pollute"
was joined by his invitation to "Lend a hand, care for the
land" in the late 1990s.
