Emotional intelligence has been defined as key to a manager/leader’s ability to be successful. Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI)

Date:                October 9, 2008
Time:               8:30 a.m. to Noon

The Strength Deployment Inventory is a personality / leadership style instrument.  The SDI provides proven, memorable communication skills that dramatically increase the effectiveness of nearly any employee development and manager training program.

Wouldn’t it be great if the people in your life came with an instruction manual? Imagine how much stronger your relationships would be if you really understood what made people tick -- both when things were going well and when there was conflict and opposition. The SDI is NOT just another "personality test." It's a self-scoring motivational assessment tool that provides an understanding of what drives you and what drives others — an understanding that empowers you to communicate in a way that achieves the results you desire.

Six Hat Thinking:   Organizing Group Thinking

Date:                October 9, 2008
Time:               1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Would you like to be able to facilitate groups better and get great results?

This facilitation model helps the group leader to better understand how to get the team to work together and not waste time in unproductive discussions.  When working in a group to solve problems and generate ideas, the six hats thinking process can help the group to focus on particular aspects of the problem or situation.  This makes the most effective use of the group’s time and contributes to a positive movement toward solution and ideas.

Six Thinking Hats has three purposes:
  • The first purpose is to simplify the group thinking process.
  • The second purpose is to choreograph the group thinking process.
  • The third purpose is to get something done in meetings!!!
