Triple Digit Temperatures (7/16/06)

As a result of a strong high pressure cell anchored over the Four Corners area, temperatures across the region on Sunday were the warmest since the year began. Many weather reporting sites recorded temperatures in the 100s. In Grand Junction, a high temperature of 104° set a new record for the date, beating out the old record of 102°, set just last year. The Monday morning low was just 71°.
