However, a developing system by the Federal Highway Administration, involves dialing "511" in the state you are in. This also works with cell phones while you are traveling. A great part of this is that if you select option number 4 on the Colorado 511 number, you get a listing of the toll-free numbers for surrounding states OR you can have the system
TRANSFER you to the next state.
