The South Rim of the Grand Canyon

The south rim of the Grand Canyon is 7,000 feet above sea level. The north rim is 1,000 feet higher than the south!
Arizona's motto is "The Grand Canyon State"


Hot Pepper

The hottest day on record in the state, Lake Havasu, June 29, 1994, 128 degrees. The lowest record? -40 degrees F at Hawley Lake, January 7, 1971.
