Nursing Grant

American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) in partnership with the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Foundation announces the availability of a Neuro-oncology Nursing Grant. This award is designed to encourage nursing research in symptom management, psychosocial issues, or quality of life in neuro-oncology patients and their families.

Do Cell Phones Cause Brain Tumors?

Researchers and physicians continue to debate a possible link between cell phone use and brain tumors. There is still no direct evidence that cell phones definitively cause brain tumors, however, several resources can provide you with the latest research, information and opinions on the topic.

About Meningiomas

Although meningiomas are brain tumors, they do not originate in brain tissue. They arise from the meninges, three thin layers of tissue covering the brain and spinal cord. Meningiomas are now the most common type of primary brain tumor. Learn more about these tumors and their treatment. 

Malignant Gliomas

Gliomas are any tumor that arises from the supportive tissues of the brain. This article is for those newly diagnosed with a high grade or malignant glioma.
